Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Genuine interest in developing a career within structural engineering.
• Some previous experience in a civil or structural design office would be beneficial.
• Good understanding of structural engineering principles.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative design team.
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development.
• Confidence communicating with colleagues, clients and other project team members.

Responsibilities

• Supporting senior engineers with the structural design and delivery of projects.
• Producing structural calculations, designs and technical documentation.
• Working on a range of civil and structural engineering projects.
• Liaising directly with clients, architects and wider design teams.
• Supporting the preparation of drawings, specifications and engineering information.
• Attending project and design meetings where required.
• Assisting with the coordination of structural designs alongside other disciplines.
• Taking increasing responsibility for own projects as experience develops.
• Working closely with experienced engineers who will support technical and professional development.
