Are you looking for a relaxed and contemporary working environment, with an emphasis on quality not quantity?

We are delighted to be working with an established civil and structural engineering consultancy with a regional office in Bristol. They have done an excellent job of building a local team of civil and structural engineers and are now focusing on their search for an experienced graduate structural engineer from a building structures background to support the design team.

What’s equally as important is personality; we need communication skills and a good sense of humour.

You will be given you own client accounts to manage so it is enjoying relationship building in a client facing role is key.

You can expect the following responsibilities:

  • Detailed design and analysis duties on a variety of buildings from various sectors including; residential commercial industrial and education up to £40 in value
  • Point of contact on your own projects
  • Liaising with members of the design team
  • Communicating with contractors and architects
  • Liaising with clients and answering queries
  • Attending site meetings
  • Gradually taking on more responsibility while you work into a senior position

All engineers and technicians are provided with the necessary tools for personal development and this is actively encouraged.

This practice has a both Civil and Structural team and are rapidly expanding both.

Candidates will ideally meet the following criteria:
  • A relevant degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Experience in industry with standard software such as Tekla suites
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of the design process
This is an excellent opportunity to join an emerging civil and structural and civil consultancy in the South West. This practice is winning more and more work and needs talented engineers to help grow their team further. This role comes with a salary of Circa £32,000 + package depending on experience. Successful candidates will also have the option to split their time between the office and home working.
