Job summary

RGB Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Bristol for an experienced Graduate Structural Engineer. You will contribute to design and delivery of building structures across residential, commercial, retail and industrial schemes.

You will work with senior engineers, gain exposure to varied schemes, and develop towards chartership with support. The role offers responsibility within a growing regional Bristol team and a clear progression path.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Previous UK consultancy experience within building structures is desirable.
• Understanding of structural design in materials like steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
• Experience preparing calculations and design information for building structures projects.
• Familiarity with design codes, standards and engineering principles.
• Proactive learning and problem solving with ownership of tasks.
• Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and clients.
• Interest in progressing towards chartership with support from experienced engineers.
• Site experience or construction-stage exposure would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the structural design and analysis of building structures projects across sectors.
• Prepare calculations, sketches and design information under supervision.
• Translate design intent into clear drawings and models with technicians.
• Attend project meetings, site visits and design reviews for coordination.
• Develop practical engineering judgement to deliver buildable structural solutions.
