Job Description:

Our client, an independent conservation and heritage-building specialist Structural Engineering Consultancy near Penrith in Cumbria, is actively recruiting for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their team.

The company is a single-office consultancy, highly respected in the UK for conservation work. They employ two CARE (Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers) Engineers and seek someone passionate about conservation to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Chartership aspirations or membership with ICE or IStructE
• A clean UK driver’s license for site visits
• Residency in or near Penrith or Cumbria

The company offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week, and visits to sites and clients. They have a low staff turnover, with most engineers staying long-term.

The salary range for this role is £23,000 to £26,000, suitable for a recent graduate with no consultancy experience, but flexible depending on experience. Experience in the Heritage sector is highly valued.
