Job summary

Strata Consulting in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. You will work on residential, educational, commercial and industrial projects, gaining hands-on experience from concept design through construction under mentoring toward Chartership.

From day one you will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals in a supportive environment, with hybrid working and flexible hours to support work-life balance and career

Qualifications

  • At least two years’ industry experience in a UK structural engineering consultancy.
  • Working knowledge of Tekla, Tedds and AutoCAD.
  • Good understanding of structural design codes and construction methods.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Aspiration to progress toward Chartership with ICE or IStructE.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the full project lifecycle from concept design through to construction.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects and other professionals to create practical design solutions.
  • Engage in a broad portfolio of projects across residential, educational, commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Support mentoring and development toward Chartership within a team environment.

An opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Structural Engineer to joined a trusted, multi-disciplinary engineering and surveying consultancy with a proud history of delivering intelligent design solutions. They are currently looking for a driven Graduate Structural Engineer with at least two years of experience to join their growing team in Hemel Hempstead. This is a fantastic opportunity to accelerate your development within a collaborative, forward-thinking consultancy.

You’ll be part of a supportive and experienced structural engineering team, working on a wide variety of projects across residential, educational, commercial, and industrial sectors. From day one, you’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle—from concept design through to construction—gaining hands‑on experience, client exposure, and structured mentoring as you work towards Chartership. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to create elegant, practical, and sustainable design solutions.

We are looking for a passionate and proactive graduate with a minimum of two years’ industry experience. If you’re eager to develop your technical skills, take on increasing responsibility, and contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, this role will provide the ideal platform to progress your career.

What You Need To Succeed
