Job summary

Curtins Group Ltd. is seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join our Manchester/UK-based team, focusing on structural design across diverse sectors.

You will work alongside experienced engineers to design safe, sustainable structures and deliver practical solutions that shape the built environment. You will participate in our Curtins Graduate Academy, designed to accelerate technical and professional growth through mentoring, training, and hands-on project exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Collaborative approach and desire to learn.
• Good communication skills and interest in sustainable engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural calculations and analysis.
• Develop designs using steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Produce technical reports, drawings and specifications.
• Support projects through design development and construction.
• Work with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Learn how structural decisions influence project outcomes.
• Understand project delivery and client requirements.
• Participate in STEM outreach and community projects.
