Job summary

You'll design and maintain manual test cases, review requirements, track defects, and report results. A degree in a software-related field is required; ISTQB or testing knowledge is desirable. UK residency and security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Alternatively, a degree in Engineering, Physics or another STEM subject with a strong interest in software quality.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies (Desirable).
• ISTQB Foundation certification or willingness to work towards it (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Review software requirements and define test conditions.
• Design, execute and maintain manual test cases.
• Identify, record and track software defects through to resolution.
• Analyse test results and produce clear, accurate reports.
• Maintain test documentation and traceability.
• Support quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Work closely with software developers to improve product quality.
