Job summary

Cambridge Consultants is seeking a Graduate Test Engineer to join their test department in the UK. You will work on a range of projects from prototyping to product development, designing and creating test harnesses, scripts, and CI/CD pipelines while learning from experienced teams.

You will be involved at project starts, testing concepts, requirements, and user journeys, and you will grow skills through the testing community as your responsibilities expand.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, CS, Math or Physics.
• Experience of Python (or other languages).
• Strong communication, inquisitiveness, attention to detail and a passion for technology.
• Desirable: wireless communications, issue tracking, Raspberry-Pi familiarity, SDLC knowledge, CI tools (Gitlab/Jenkins).

Responsibilities

• Perform tests on new and existing projects to learn testing approaches.
• Evaluate existing tests for effectiveness and improve as part of CI/CD.
• Scope, design and maintain bespoke test harnesses; create tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deliver high-quality code compliant with internal standards.
• Carry out project tasks within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Graduate training and mentoring; opportunity to take on more responsibilities.
