Graduate Engineer - Swindon (Permanent)

Purpose of the Role:
- To provide engineering and quality control for construction works, including maintaining appropriate records.
- To support and assist others as required, ensuring the project site remains compliant with all requirements.
Accountabilities:
- Collaborate and provide specified measurement data as required by the Commercial department.
- Work with the Project Team, including subcontractors, to ensure compliance with all legal, company, and project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of the project specification to ensure all works within your responsibility are compliant.
- Produce and ensure approval of permits, task briefs, and other documentation before work begins.
- Contribute to the production of the 3-week construction programme and undertake works accordingly.
- Provide accurate engineering control and setting out based on the latest approved design information.
- Contribute to developing temporary works solutions and support their construction, use, and dismantling in accordance with approved designs.
- Undertake other duties as defined under the Project IMS plan or by the Site Agent.
- Support and mentor junior staff through engagement and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards; report incidents and concerns.
- Perform inspections and checks per project ITPs, maintaining quality assurance records.
- Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs for approval, and ensure documentation is uploaded correctly.
- Maintain accurate site diaries and records of works, changes, and resources.
Candidate Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of the construction industry and standard techniques.
- Knowledge obtained through project induction.
- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Understanding of commercial and contractual requirements.
- Knowledge of temporary works design and engineering.
- Experience with CAD, Models, BIM, Civil 3D, Revit, etc.
- Experience in implementing design and temporary works procedures.
- Site or office-based experience with a contractor.
- Geology/mining/quarrying coursework or experience is advantageous.
