We want you to #JOINTHEREBELLION!

We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

We’re on the lookout for a Graduate Build Engineer to join our passionate and skilled team at Rebellion, continuing the legacy of our long-standing success. Whether you're a recent graduate or a junior already gaining experience in the industry, this is your chance to take the next step in your career.

In this role you will collaborate closely with our expert in-house tech team to support and develop our proprietary game engine, Asura. You'll play a key part in maintaining and improving our internal build pipelines, automated testing systems, and asset processing tools.

This role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success. We can provide a relocation package, including moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support to ensure a smooth transition to your new environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and improving automation solutions.
  • Help enhance developer workflows.
  • Support in extending and improving existing build processes and systems.
  • Diagnose and fix errors that occur in developer or continuous integration workflows with guidance.
  • Maintain and improve existing tools written in Python and other scripting languages.
  • Analyse, communicate, and assist with build results and issues.
  • Contribute to improving continuous integration processes (e.g., using Jenkins).
  • Research new tools, techniques, and processes that can benefit Rebellion and our games.
  • Strong interest in debugging and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Python and C++.
  • Good initiative, self-motivation, and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate productively within larger multi-disciplined project team environments.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • A logical and technical mind with the ability to break down problems and create effective solutions.
  • A passion to develop, maintain and further our build systems and tools to improve the quality and ease for our game teams.

We offer an extensive benefits package to our team including:

  • 22 days holidays + Christmas closure (typically 4 days) & Bank holidays (increasing with service at 5 years – one day each year until you reach 31 days)
  • Private Medical Insurance, healthcare cash plan, including dental and Vision
  • Life Assurance, Income Protection & Critical Illness Cover
  • Enhanced Family Leave
  • Interest Free, Tax-Free loans
  • Enhanced Pension Scheme
  • EAP a range of Mental Health and Wellbeing Support
  • Plus loads more… including a wide range of discounts, freebies, and social events!
