Job summary

KPI Education is seeking a Graduate Behaviour Mentor / Academic Mentor to join a specialist Pupil Referral Unit in Stafford. The role involves delivering 1:1 and small-group academic and behavioural support to students with SEN/SEMH needs, building positive relationships and helping students re-engage with education.

The ideal candidate is resilient, empathetic and committed to alternative education, with essential requirements including a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Experience with SEN/SEN/SEMH and challenging behaviour is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships and re-engage students with education.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group academic and behavioural support to students with SEN/SEMH.
• Support students who have experienced exclusion or disrupted education.
• Deliver targeted interventions in English and Maths.
• Develop positive relationships to improve engagement and confidence in learning.
• Support emotional regulation, behaviour management and social development.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement individual support plans.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
