Job summary

KPI Education is seeking a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with diverse needs in a Stafford setting. The role offers October start, full-time hours, and on-site teaching experience in a dedicated provision.

You will work with teachers and specialists to build relationships, provide behavioural support, and help students develop emotional regulation and engagement strategies, contributing to positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• First or 2:1 degree in Psychology, Education Studies, Social Work, Health and Social Care or related subject.
• Strong communication and confident interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to make a long-lasting, positive impact on pupils' lives.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group behavioural support.
• Encourage positive behaviour, attendance and engagement.
• Support students in developing emotional regulation strategies.
• Assist teachers in creating a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Help de-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively.
• Act as a positive role model for students.
• Monitor progress and contribute to behaviour support plans.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams.
