Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Physical Security Consultant to join its Manchester team. You’ll develop expertise in designing and implementing physical security measures on diverse projects, supported by senior engineers and a structured development programme accredited by the IET.

You will work within multi-disciplinary design teams to integrate security solutions and contribute to security assessments, with a clear route toward chartership through RSES and the Security Institute.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant engineering or IT discipline with strong academic performance.
• On track to graduate with a 2:1/60% or higher.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship, and no more than 12 months’ full-time experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in design, specification and implementation of physical security measures across projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate security solutions in built environments.
• Contribute to Security Needs Assessments and Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments in line with guidance from NPSA and RSES.

Education

Degree in systems, electrical, electronic, IT & communications systems or aeronautical engineering

2:1/60% or higher on track to achieve

Recently graduated or on track to graduate before employment starts
