The Opportunity

Our world-leading security team has developed an enviable reputation for innovation based on a risk-based approach to successfully develop the technical solutions of some of the world's most complex buildings and structures. These include tall buildings, transport infrastructure, medical facilities,educationand stadia.

We are seeking a Graduate Security Systems Engineer to join our physical security team. In this role, you will develop expertise in the design, specification, and implementation of physical security measures across a range of projects. You will be supported by senior engineers and follow a structured development programme accredited by the IET, with a clear pathway toward chartership through the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists (RSES) and the Security Institute.

You will work within multi-disciplinary design teams—alongside architects, engineers, cost consultants, and project managers—to integrate security solutions into complex built environments. Operating within a risk-based framework, you will contribute to the development of mitigation strategies and produce designs aligned with project requirements. Early project involvement includes contributing to Security Needs Assessments and Threat, Vulnerability, and Risk Assessments, in collaboration with our threat specialists and in alignment with guidance from the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA), the UK's technical authority for protective security and part of the MI5 security services.

Is this role right for you?

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

A degree in system, electrical, electronic, IT & communications systems or aeronautical engineering, on track to achieve a 2:1/60% or higher

• Full working rights in the country of application
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts.
