Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school in Leeds for a Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant. You will work with pupils across KS3/KS4, helping overcome barriers to learning and supporting teachers in class activities.

Applicants must hold a relevant degree and have a passion for working with young people. The role offers weekly pay, Monday–Friday hours, and a supportive leadership team within a positive school environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant Degree.
• Experience with or passion for working with young people.
• Strong communication, patience and empathy in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Assisting teachers during lessons and classroom activities
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Supporting students with additional learning needs
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and engagement
• Encouraging positive behaviour and attitudes towards learning
• Supporting students with classwork and homework where required
• Helping prepare and organise classroom resources
• Building positive relationships with students and staff
• Supporting the wider school team with pastoral and learning activities
