Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Graduate Rail Project Manager to join its Rail team in the UK across Croydon, Leeds, London and Manchester. You will work within a Project Management Team to develop and deliver rail projects from inception to handover, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and contributing to reports, tenders, cost and schedule control.

We seek graduates with <12 months’ relevant experience and a degree in Project Management or Engineering. The role emphasizes client liaison, technical collaboration, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach in a supportive, learning‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Less than 12 months’ relevant experience (excluding placements).
• Degree disciplines: Project management or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Rail projects from inception to handover and completion.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Draft and manage reports and tender documents; monitor cost and schedule.
• Manage Health & Safety and Quality Assurance aspects of projects.
• Liaise with client, project sponsors and key stakeholders as necessary.
