Job summary

United Infrastructure Wakefield is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor for its Water division. You will support the commercial team, assist surveyors with cost control, payments, and valuations, while participating in tendering and work-winning activities.

You will complete a two-year development programme, attend events, and gain professional accreditation through a structured pathway, with opportunities for progression upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.2 Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Good IT skills and able to use Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Good organisation, time management and communication skills.
• Driving licence or actively working towards achieving it.
• Awareness of NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial team and assist Quantity Surveyors with estimating and cost control on projects.
• Assess subcontractor applications and process payments.
• Assist with negotiations or commercial issues.
• Help prepare tender applications and support work-winning activity.
• Prepare monthly valuations, reports and variations.
