Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a UK-wide, site-based programme with regular travel across the UK. You will rotate through sectors and projects for two years, supported by a dedicated mentor and a structured learning plan aligned with RICS qualifications.

You’ll work within the Commercial Team, delivering high-quality commercial support, and you’ll gain exposure to cost control, procurement, and contract administration while pursuing professional accreditation.

Qualifications

• Time management and organisation skills.
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
• Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts for projects.
• Identify key project risks and opportunities; update risk and opportunity registers.
• Prepare internal commercial and other reports.
• Prepare and maintain cost to complete/bottom-up forecasts.
• Prepare valuations and applications for payment with supporting documentation.
