Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team of a specialist contractor. This role provides hands-on experience across live construction projects, working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers to develop commercial and contractual knowledge.

You will gain valuable exposure to valuations, payments, cost reporting, forecasting, subcontractor management and NEC contracts while building relationships with clients and internal

Qualifications

• This role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related subject.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career within construction/commercial management.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a project environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Quantity Surveyors with the commercial management of projects.
• Assisting with valuations, applications and payment processes.
• Supporting cost reporting and forecasting.
• Assisting with subcontractor management and procurement.
• Working with project teams to monitor costs and financial performance.
• Supporting variations, compensation events and commercial correspondence.
• Developing an understanding of NEC and other forms of contract.
• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.

Education

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related subject
