Mott MacDonald Bentley offers a hands-on early careers opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor within the Wessex framework across the UK water, energy and environment sectors. The role focuses on cost management, contracts, and maintaining robust financial records while supporting project teams.

The programme includes a development pathway, benefits package, and a Summer 2027 start, with travel across the Wessex region and potential progression toward Chartered status.

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Valid driving licence.
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with sub-contractors, while ensuring that the needs of a project are met.
• Effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders, while minimising costs to maximise the value received.
• Ensure that proper records, including final accounts, are kept and maintained so financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available.
• Develop contract management skills, understanding the New Engineering Contract (NEC) contract and how change control works.
• Promote our quality, cost, and efficiency strategy to ensure everyone is minimising costs and maximising value and assist with maintaining our world class safety culture – through the production of critical designs, health and safety documentation, O&M manuals and commissioning plans.
