Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley in Scotland is seeking an early career Quantity Surveyor to join our team on the Scottish Water framework, with travel across the region required from Glasgow and surrounding areas.

You will develop contract and cost management skills within a structured Early Career Development Programme, supporting cost assurance and audit readiness while contributing to safety, quality and value on projects.

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Valid driving licence.
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with sub-contractors, while ensuring that the needs of a project are met.
• Effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders, while minimising costs to maximise the value received.
• Ensure that proper records, including final accounts, are kept and maintained so financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available.
• Develop contract management skills, understanding the New Engineering Contract (NEC) contract and how change control works.
• Promote our quality, cost, and efficiency strategy to ensure everyone is minimising costs and maximising value and assist with maintaining our world class safety culture – through the production of critical designs, health and safety documentation, O&M manuals and commissioning plans
