With an annual turnover surpassing £500 million, Mott MacDonald Bentley cements its position as a leader within the industry, creating an ideal environment for career growth.

Mott MacDonald Bentley is a key Asset Delivery Partner for Scottish Water’s new Enterprise, part of the SR27 investment programme. The Enterprise will deliver £9 bn of major infrastructure investment between 2027 and 2033, enhancing Scotland’s water and wastewater assets, preserving water quality, protecting the environment and ensuring services continue to meet customer needs.

As part of the appointment to Scottish Water’s new Enterprise, we will deliver projects at sites across Scotland. Works will include major upgrades to treatment assets, new and enhanced networks, and resilience schemes that benefit communities across the country.

25+ years in the water sector

  • Driving efficiency and affordability through integrated delivery, innovation and collaborative planning
  • Maintaining a strong focus on customers, communities and safety across everything we do

As a Quantity Surveyor you’ll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and communities – from improving flood defences to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature‑based solutions that improve biodiversity.

You will be involved throughout the entire project life cycle, from early contractor involvement and optioning, through to tender negotiation, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover of schemes.

Role of a Quantity Surveyor
  • Ensuring robust cost‑management processes are in place, providing accurate and timely reports, data and analysis to assist in commercial decisions.

  • Ensuring all project team members understand the contractual arrangements to meet client requirements.
  • Supporting clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks to help deliver successful outcomes.
  • Influencing the contractual and commercial aspects of schemes to ensure robust project control.
  • Fostering and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, understanding client needs and delivering value through effective cost management and project delivery.
What You’ll Need
