Job summary

Bimplus in Birmingham is seeking a diligent Cost Estimator to support office fit-out projects from tender through to final accounts. You will work with senior surveyors to prepare budgets, assess bids and monitor project costs.

This role focuses on cost forecasting, data collection on site, subcontractor quotations review, and maintaining accurate cost records while liaising with clients and suppliers to gather information and ensure budget adherence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Support senior surveyors in evaluating tender documents and preparing bids.
• Monitor and track project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and gather cost data.
• Assist in the preparation of interim and final accounts.
• Help manage contract variations and assess their financial impact.
• Review and analyze subcontractor quotations for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide support in risk assessments and cost forecasting.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, changes, and progress.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather cost information
