Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is offering a Graduate Quantity Surveyor role within our Infrastructure business, with hands-on experience from day one on water sector projects. This site-based role includes initial projects in Oxfordshire/Thames Valley and opportunities to broaden experience across regions as you progress toward RICS accreditation.

You’ll rotate across key areas to develop skills in cost management, commercial decision-making and report preparation, supported by mentoring and a clear pathway

Qualifications

• Degree (or expected in 2027) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (2:2 or above)
• Full UK driving licence (or working towards by Feb 2027)
• Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach
• Good written and verbal communication across diverse stakeholders
• Collaborative mindset with willingness to learn and take responsibility
• Placement or site experience desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Contribute to cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions
• Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers for best value
• Track and monitor project costs, valuations and payments
• Help assess risks, opportunities and variations
• Produce clear reports to support client and project decisions
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Develop skills in industry-standard systems and digital tools for commercial management
