Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is recruiting a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to launch a career on live infrastructure projects. This site-based role will see you rotate across core commercial tasks while gaining exposure in Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley.

You’ll benefit from a structured two-year Graduate Development Programme, with mentoring, APC support and a clear path to Chartered status, as you learn cost management and commercial decision-making on real projects.

Qualifications

• Degree (or expected in 2027) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (2:2 or above)
• Full UK driving licence (or working towards by Feb 2027)
• Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach
• Good written and verbal communication across diverse stakeholders
• Collaborative mindset with willingness to learn and take responsibility

Responsibilities

• Contribute to cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions
• Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers for best value
• Track and monitor project costs, valuations and payments
• Help assess and manage risks, opportunities and variations
• Produce clear reports and documentation for clients and project teams
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Develop skills in industry-standard systems and digital tools for commercial management
