Job summary

JLL is recruiting for a graduate trainee programme in Manchester to fast-track towards Chartered Quantity Surveyor status via the APC. You will work in the Cost Management team, handling cost research, budget estimates, and site visits from day one while learning through structured training and mentorship.

You will apply your numerical skills to budgeting, manage project spend within budgets, and develop professional competencies through regular training and client exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree - Minimum 2:2 (predicted or achieved) in any discipline.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quantity Surveying is desirable but not essential
• Demonstrate a strong passion for Quantity Surveying
• You'll have an interest in the property industry and how we can shape its future
• You'll have a keen interest in emerging technologies and opportunities they bring to the profession
• You'll be confident in working with numbers with strong attention to detail and approach work in a methodical way
• You'll be able to connect with others easily and build strong relationships

Responsibilities

• You'll get involved in real work from day one that will help clients achieve their ambitions
• You'll help research and calculate design costs to create budget estimates
• You'll monitor project spend and help report on costs to ensure they are within budgets
• You'll visit sites to carry out site visits to check on project progress
• You'll help prepare reports and contract documents for clients
• You'll embrace technology, including our purpose-built applications that help us deliver real time cost management
• You'll research and keep up to date with relevant market insight and legislation that may impact our work
• You'll build relationships across our business and clients to ensure we deliver a great service
• You'll take part in regular training in business skills, technical knowledge, and professional development to support your growth
