Building Careers UK is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Warrington. You will gain hands-on experience across residential construction projects, supported by experienced QS professionals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline.
• Placement, internship or graduate scheme experience is preferred.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a commercial team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Quantity Surveyors with the commercial management of residential construction projects.
• Assisting with the preparation and review of subcontractor packages.
• Supporting the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assisting with tender analysis and comparison of quotations.
• Preparing and maintaining cost reports.
• Assisting with valuations and applications for payment.
• Monitoring project costs against budgets.
• Supporting the management of variations and compensation events.
• Assisting with subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Supporting the preparation of final accounts.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Assisting with cost forecasting and reporting.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records.
• Working closely with site teams, planners, procurement and project management.
• Attending project and commercial meetings where required.
