Job summary

The Oyster Partnership is working with a Buckinghamshire Local Authority to recruit a Graduate Engineer, Assistant Engineer, or Junior Project Engineer. This entry-level position offers training, mentorship, and a clear path to professional progression within highways and infrastructure projects.

You will support experienced engineers and project managers across project delivery, reporting, and stakeholder coordination, with exposure to NEC contracts and a range of civils software.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Basic understanding of highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop a long-term career in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of highways and civil engineering projects.
• Support project planning, coordination, and reporting activities.
• Liaise with contractors, stakeholders, consultants and clients.
• Help monitor project programmes, budgets and risks.
