Job summary

WSP is seeking graduates to join our Planning Consultancy or Infrastructure Planning teams in 2027. You’ll help clients navigate the planning system and bring forward sustainable places and infrastructure that respond to local needs.

You will support multidisciplinary projects across housing, regeneration, energy, transport and more. You’ll build your understanding of the planning process through policy research, stakeholder consultation and project delivery, while contributing practical advice

Qualifications

• You will have, or be on track to achieve, at least a 2:2 in a relevant master’s degree.
• You will be looking to start work in September 2027.
• You will be interested in planning, development, regeneration, infrastructure, policy, consents or engagement.
• You will be curious, analytical and motivated to support sustainable places and major infrastructure.
• You will enjoy collaborating and learning from planners, designers, engineers and environmental specialists.
• You will want to create value for clients and communities through clear advice and effective engagement.
• You will be keen to learn, take ownership and build your career across planning and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Support multidisciplinary projects across housing, mixed‑use development, regeneration, social infrastructure, rail, energy, utilities and transport.
• Help clients navigate the planning system and bring forward sustainable places and infrastructure.
• Contribute to policy research, planning strategy, stakeholder consultation and consent applications.
• Deliver practical advice that helps successful development and major infrastructure projects.
