Job summary

WSP invites graduates to join our Planning Consultancy or Infrastructure Planning teams in 2027. You will help clients navigate the planning system and bring forward sustainable places that respond to local needs, while supporting multi-disciplinary projects across housing, regeneration and transport.

The two-year Graduate Development Programme blends structured learning, mentoring and hands-on project experience, helping you grow professionally within a global engineering consultancy.

Qualifications

• You will have, or be on track to achieve, at least a 2:2 in a relevant master’s degree.
• You will be looking to start work in September 2027.
• You will be interested in planning, development, regeneration, infrastructure, policy, consents or engagement.
• You will be curious, analytical and motivated to support sustainable places and major infrastructure.
• You will enjoy collaborating and learning from planners, designers, engineers and environmental specialists.
• You will want to create value for clients and communities through clear advice and effective engagement.
• You will be keen to learn, take ownership and build your career across planning and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Help clients navigate the planning system and bring forward sustainable places and infrastructure that respond to local needs.
• Support multidisciplinary projects across housing, mixed-use development, regeneration, social infrastructure, rail, energy, utilities and transport.
• Contribute to policy research, planning strategy, stakeholder consultation, consent applications and project delivery.
