Job summary

Kier Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Process Engineering Design Graduate to join Kier Design in one of our offices. Based out of an office in Bristol, Exeter, Cardiff, Norwich or Salford, you will embark on a permanent, full-time graduate pathway for 2 years, with salary progression and a site secondment to a Kier project.

You will gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from seasoned professionals, and rotate through different areas of design while developing core process

Qualifications

• Degree must be IChemE or CIWEM accredited in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrate genuine interest in water engineering and construction industry.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and show collaboration and reliability.
• Full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Support liaison with internal clients within construction teams.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary design and feasibility studies.
• Deliver process engineering designs ensuring design excellence and client satisfaction.
• Provide technical support to process engineering designs.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and calculations for stakeholders.

We're looking for a Process Engineering Design Graduate to join our Kier Design team based in one of our offices.

Location

Based out of one of our offices in either Bristol, Exeter, Cardiff, Norwich or Salford

Hours

40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Starting Salary

£31,000 per annum

Pathway

Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k

This is a truly exciting role for an entrepreneurial individual to work within a growing team and deliver some of the best water projects within a fully integrated design and build delivery model. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in process engineering. You'll be enrolled on Kier's Graduate Development Programme and supported through Kier Design's graduate pathway, which includes industry-leading technical training, rotations in different areas of the design business, and a site secondment to a Kier project.

What will you be responsible for?

• Supporting liaison with internal clients within our construction teams
• Contributing to multi-disciplinary teams to support the design and feasibility of solutions
• Delivering process engineering designs ensuring design excellence and client satisfaction
• Providing technical support to process engineering designs
• Technical report writing, presentations and calculations to a variety of stakeholders

What are we looking for?

• Have a degree (or are working towards a degree) which is IChemE or CIWEM accredited in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in water engineering and the construction industry, with clear motivation to learn and develop professionally
• Have strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with excellent attention to detail
• Work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating collaboration, reliability, and respect for others
• Hold full Driving Licence
