Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking ambitious graduates to join its Early Talent Graduate Development Programme in the UK. The trainee planner will learn planning across the full project life cycle under supervision, developing skills in detailed project programmes and weekly progress tracking.

The programme supports accreditation and exposure to diverse projects and disciplines. Successful candidates will gain practical experience, professional development, and opportunities to work on national projects

Qualifications

Bachelor or degree in construction management or engineering related field.
Understanding of project life cycle and planning concepts.
Interest in professional accreditation through CIOB, CIBSE or MICE.
Willingness to learn and apply planning tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed project programmes with guidance from a Project Planner.
Learn to plan across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
Track weekly progress and identify schedule threats and opportunities.
Liaise with project teams to capture weekly progress data.
Assist in developing scheduling and production control systems.
Support preparation of progress reports and information releases.
