Job summary

Laing O'Rourke in the United Kingdom is recruiting graduates for its Early Talent Graduate Development Programme. The role combines practical project experience with academic study, developing knowledge across building services engineering, BIM, sustainability, and health and safety.

You will support delivery of MEP systems on major construction projects, participate in design reviews, BIM, and project planning, and work with engineers, managers and clients to drive project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and public health engineering systems on construction projects.
• Assist with reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, models, and technical documentation.
• Develop and utilise digital engineering tools and Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project planning activities.
• Support quality assurance, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure systems meet required standards.
• Assist with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with company and industry requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers, specialist contractors, and clients to support project delivery.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and technical documentation.
• Complete academic coursework, workplace training, and professional development activities as part of the apprenticeship programme.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, professional conduct, and personal development.
