Job summary

The University of Hull is seeking a Graduate Intern to join the UK Student Recruitment Collaborative Outreach & Access team. This fixed-term role runs until 31 July 2027 and offers a salary in the £26,707–£28,778 range with a DBS requirement and hybrid working from Hull.

You will support events, coordinate workshops and assist with data reporting as part of the Humber Outreach Programme, engaging with schools and colleges across the Humber region.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience gained through volunteering, study or work experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn new software.
• Good general education showing clear evidence of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Support events on campus (which may include residential activities).
• Deliver activities, 1:1 and group sessions with students, event administration, liaising with schools/colleges or groups and academic staff leading sessions or third-sector organisations.
• Work as a member of the HOP outreach team to create and develop student-focused interactive workshops, activities and materials to raise young people’s awareness of Higher Education topics/pathways and courses/routes available to study.
• Oversee the collection of data within the schools and colleges and assist with the event reporting and monitoring of student engagement.
• Complete administrative duties, within the HOP processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This includes, but not limited to financial administrative activity, relationship management, data input, event administration and project report writing.
