Job summary

Elysium Healthcare’s Victoria Gardens in Liverpool is seeking a Graduate Occupational Therapist to start a rewarding career with dedicated supervision and hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary team. You will support service users with complex mental health needs and contribute to recovery-focused programmes.

Under supervision, you will undertake OT assessments, plan and review treatment programmes, and help with referrals while developing professionally through funded training opportunities

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy attained.
  • HCPC registration or applied for.
  • Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for specific groups.
  • Effective written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive OT assessments.

  • Identify and action referrals in-house and to external agencies.
  • Support planning, evaluation and audit of practices and protocols at Victoria Gardens.

Under supervision, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating evidence-based group and individual programmes. You will create individual rapports with service users to empower recovery.

As a Graduate Occupational Therapist You Will Be
  • Providing comprehensive OT assessments.
  • Under supervision, planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes.
  • Under supervision, identifying and actioning referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies
  • Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols at Victoria Gardens.
  • Ensuring that contemporaneous, written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and services standards.
To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need
  • A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • A UK HCPC registration or applied for
  • Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for specific groups
  • Effective written/verbal communication skills

Where you will be working

Location: Victoria Road,Huyton, Liverpool,L36 5SA

You will be working at Victoria Gardens, a specialist rehabilitation for Service Users with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. You will support the service to equip service users with the skills required for community living and increased independence.

The service is a recovery based service and incorporate elements of the Good Lives Model, supported by individualised interventions. We have a full multidisciplinary team (MDT) with Nursing, Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker support.
