Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Graduate Occupational Therapist to join Victoria Gardens in Liverpool. You will work in a specialist rehabilitation service for service users with complex mental health needs, under supervision, delivering OT assessments and treatment plans to empower recovery.

You will be part of a MDT, receive guidance from experienced healthcare professionals, and have access to ongoing training to advance your career within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• A UK HCPC registration or applied for.
• Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for specific groups.
• Effective written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OT assessments under supervision.

As a Graduate Occupational Therapist you will be:

• Providing comprehensive OT assessments.
• Under supervision, planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes.
• Under supervision, identifying and actioning referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies
• Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols at Victoria Gardens.
• Ensuring that contemporaneous, written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and services standards.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

You will be working at Victoria Gardens, a specialist rehabilitation for Service Users with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. You will support the service to equip service users with the skills required for community living and increased independence.

The service is a recovery based service and incorporate elements of the Good Lives Model, supported by individualised interventions. We have a full multidisciplinary team (MDT) with Nursing, Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker support.
