Abertillery-based Occupational Therapist role at Aberbeeg Hospital within Elysium Healthcare Limited offers hands-on experience in a supportive MDT environment. You will engage in evidence-based group and individual programmes, with supervision from experienced professionals to help you develop your OT practice.

Applicants should hold a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with UK HCPC (or have applied).

Under supervision, planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes.

Under supervision, identifying and actioning referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways and protocols at St Mary's Hospital.

Ensuring that contemporaneous, written and electronic records and activity data are maintained following professional and services standards.

11.5 acres of the stunning Welsh countryside in Caerphilly and provides a safe and supportive environment for men requiring low and medium secure mental health services.

Our dedicated Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) places least restrictive practice at the heart of every personalised care plan.

Aberbeeg uses a twelve-week therapeutic planning model alongside the “Safewards” model of care.

This means that service users have a therapeutic timetable devised collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team using meaningful and smart goals for a twelve-week period.

Following this, the timetable is reviewed and changed to reflect the development and achievements made.
