Job summary

M-Sport UK is recruiting a Graduate Engine Engineer to join the Engine team at Dovenby Hall as part of the 2027/28 intake. The role offers hands-on experience in building, developing and testing high‑performance competition engines, with the goal of boosting reliability and performance across multiple programmes.

You will work closely with Engineering, Design and technical staff, contributing to documentation, testing, and continuous improvement while developing your skills in a high‑pressure

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Motorsport/Mechanical/Automotive or related discipline.
• Genuine passion for motorsport and drive to progress in high‑performance environment.
• Keen to learn, develop and take on new challenges in a fast-paced hands-on setting.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a practical and methodical problem‑solving approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and team‑building skills for cross‑department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with build, development and testing of high‑performance competition engines and components.
• Support planning and forecasting activities to keep projects on track and meet deadlines.
• Learn and improve processes and procedures across the Engine Department.
• Prepare and issue technical documentation drawings, specs and build information for engine systems.
• Carry out quality and build checks to ensure engines meet required standards.
• Assist with tracking and lifing of engine components to support reliability and management.
• Analyse and report on issues to improve system reliability and performance.
• Support system layout, component selection and integration across programmes.
• Collaborate with technicians, suppliers, Engineering, Design and other departments to ensure engine functionality.
