Job summary

Barhale is recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the Anglian Water capital investment programme in the East of England. You will gain hands-on experience across major infrastructure projects while working with seasoned engineers to build your technical skills.

You will help design pumping stations, treatment works and pipelines, support delivery teams on-site and in the office, and learn to produce technical reports and drawings with a strong focus on safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• A 2:2 degree or above in Mechanical Engineering (BEng/MEng/MSc).
• Full UK driving licence (or working towards it).
• Willingness to relocate or travel to Peterborough and the East Anglia Region.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the mechanical design of pumping stations, treatment works, and pipeline systems
• Support project delivery teams on-site and in the office
• Collaborate with civil, electrical, and process engineers
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings
• Engage with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure engineering excellence
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across all activities
