Job summary

Barhale is recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the @one Alliance and work on Anglian Water's capital investment programme across the East of England. You will gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering across major infrastructure projects, working with experienced professionals to build your knowledge and career.

Applicants should have a Mechanical Engineering degree (BEng/MEng) with a 2:2 or above, a collaborative mindset, and a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or MEng) or MSc equivalent.
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills for working with Alliance teams and client.
• Understanding of stage-gate delivery processes and ability to manage deadlines.
• Ability to organize workload and deliver with accuracy and timeliness.
• Interest in infrastructure, construction or the built environment.
• Full UK driving licence (or working towards it).

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical design of pumping stations, treatment works and pipeline systems.
• Support project delivery teams on-site and in the office.
• Collaborate with civil, electrical and process engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and drawings.
• Engage with clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure engineering excellence and compliance.

Education

BEng or MEng/MSc in Mechanical Engineering

2:2 degree or above in Mechanical Engineering
