Job summary

Barhale is recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the @one Alliance workstreams delivering Anglian Water’s capital investment program in the East of England. The role provides hands-on experience across major infrastructure projects in a supportive, development-focused environment.

You will work with experienced engineers, developing technical knowledge, professional skills and a pathway towards chartership. Relocation to Peterborough or surrounding areas is supported as needed.

Qualifications

• A 2:2 degree or above in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or MEng).
• Strong collaborative working style across Alliance teams and client.
• Ability to work within a defined stage gate delivery process and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical design of pumping stations, treatment works and pipelines.
• Support project delivery teams on-site and in the office.
• Collaborate with civil, electrical, and process engineers.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and drawings.
• Engage with clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure engineering excellence.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance across activities.
