Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Together, we’re delivering projects to help protect and improve one of the UK’s most important resources - water. As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer you’ll be part of this exciting programme from the start, gaining hands-on experience of Mechanical Engineering across major infrastructure projects. You’ll work alongside experienced Engineering professionals building your knowledge, developing your skills and working towards a successful career in Mechanical Engineering. You’ll be supported throughout your development, with opportunities to build your technical knowledge, gain professional experience and work towards your longer-term career goals.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for graduates who are curious, collaborative and keen to build a career in Mechanical Engineering and who enjoy working with people, solving problems and learning new things.

• A 2:2 degree or above
• BEng or MEng/MSc in Mechanical Engineering
• Work in an open and collaborative way- practice integrated working with all Alliance teams and the client.
• Develop effective working relationships
• Embrace the responsibilities of a defined stage gate delivery process - understand its impact on your role, people and processes
• Apply rigour to key projects and tasks that require accurate and timely delivery and decision making
• The ability to organise your workload and meet deadlines
• A collaborative approach and willingness to learn
• An interest in infrastructure, construction or the built environment
• A full UK driving licence, or the ability to travel between project locations where required
