Job summary

The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team is seeking a graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute from concept through to testing and integration on the race car. Based in the Mechanical Design Group within our Design Office, you will work with senior engineers on large projects and also pursue your own initiatives.

Supported and mentored by experienced engineers, you will translate theory into practice, developing skills across digital and AI-assisted design tools.

Qualifications

• Essential STEM degree with a 2:1 or above.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good teamwork and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Supporting senior group members with large mechanical/composite design projects.
• Assisting with design and development of innovative components using digital design tools.
• Generating 3D models, assemblies, 2D drawings with manufacturing information.
• Collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure integrated designs.
• Owning components from design through testing to implementation.
