Job summary

KLA invites highly motivated graduates to join the Mechanical Design Engineering track at its Newport facility. You will contribute to advanced semiconductor tooling in a challenging, collaborative environment.

Training is provided through the Graduate Development program, with exposure to diverse teams, projects, and hands-on design work in state-of-the-art facilities in Celtic Lakes Newport.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (2:1) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• A good acquaintance with SW tools (MS Office, MATLAB) would be advantageous.
• No prior semiconductor experience necessary; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Design 3D parts/assemblies using Solid Edge CAD.
• Create/detail 2D drawings in Solid Edge CAD.
• Create engineering bills of materials and cost control.
• liaise with suppliers and build/test prototypes.
• Lead small projects from concept to implementation.
• Collaborate across teams and document results.
