Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer in Bedford to join a growing manufacturer of industrial converting machinery. The role involves creating 3D models and drawings, with full training on Solid Edge provided, and progression opportunities within the company.

You will design rotating machinery and winders, work with automatic winders and spoolers, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure on-time project delivery.

Are you a recent Graduate from an engineering discipline who is looking for an exciting opportunity to join a growing company that can offer extensive training in a new sector?

The company are a growing manufacturer and supplier of industrial converting machinery. Examples of some of the equipment they manufacture include; automatic winders, spoolers and trim winders.

The successful candidate will be assisting in the design and product development of rotating machinery and a range of winders. On a day-to-day basis, you will be creating 3D models and detailed drawings using Solid Edge

The role would suit a recent graduate who has experience with 3D modelling who is looking to join a company that can offer full training on Solid Edge software.

The Role:

• Create 3D models using Solid Edge
• Contribute to the development of new machine concepts
• Learn to produce mechanical design for the converting industry
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project delivery
• Monday – Friday (08:00 – 16:30)

The Person:

• Recent Graduate, from an engineering discipline
• Experience in 3D Modelling
