Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Exeter to join a national leader in domestic product design and manufacture. You will develop new and existing products from concept to completion, working with the Engineering Manager to test developments and implement improvements.

The role offers excellent training and progression opportunities, CAD proficiency with SolidWorks or SolidEdge, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical design experience, preferably in domestic products.
• Proficiency with CAD packages (SolidWorks or SolidEdge).
• Experience implementing improvements within manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and existing products from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager on development testing.
• Identify areas for process improvements.
• Work within the engineering team to resolve issues.

The role will see the candidate designing and developing new and existing products, from concept through to completion. Working in the engineering department you will be working closely with the Engineering Manager to aid with the development testing of the company's creations.

The ideal candidate will an understanding of mechanical engineering, proficient working with CAD packages (e.g. Solidworks or SolidEdge) and have experience implementing improvements within manufacturing.

The Role:

• Developing new and existing products

The Person:

• Mechanical Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer/ Production Engineer / Development Engineer or similar backgrounds all considered
• Knowledge and experience using Solid Edge / Solid Works
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical principals
