Carrington West is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer for their Fareham office to deliver mechanical building services across varied UK projects. You will design HVAC, heating and water systems, produce calculations and drawings, and work with architects, engineers and clients to ensure compliant, sustainable solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical or Building Services degree, have experience in a consulting environment, and can utilise AutoCAD and Revit.

Formación

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience within a Building Services consultancy (graduate level or above).
• Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services design.
• Experience using AutoCAD, with Revit experience advantageous.
• A good understanding of UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to continue learning and developing professionally.

Responsabilidades

• Design mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, ventilation, domestic water services and public health systems.
• Produce mechanical calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Prepare detailed drawings and coordinated designs using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Assist with equipment selection and plant sizing.
• Carry out site surveys and attend client and design meetings.
• Liaise with architects, structural engineers, contractors and clients throughout project delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Support the delivery of low–carbon and sustainable engineering solutions.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Fareham office.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll be involved in the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from initial concept through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical design skills while working on a varied portfolio of projects.
