Graduate LSA role at a Smethwick primary school requires a motivated graduate to provide consistent SEN support for a pupil with autism and ADHD. You will work 1:1, break tasks into manageable steps and reinforce essential literacy and numeracy skills.

You will help with emotional regulation, transitions and peer interactions, under guidance from the class teacher and SENCO, to foster positive learning behaviours and inclusive education.

Formación

• Degree in Psychology or closely related discipline.
• Awareness of autism/ADHD and their impact on learning.
• Patience and ability to respond calmly to behavioural needs.
• Experience with SEN or childcare is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Provide dedicated 1:1 assistance to the pupil during lessons.
• Break tasks into manageable steps using visual prompts.
• Reinforce reading, writing and numeracy through short activities.
• Support emotional regulation and transitions using agreed strategies.
• Encourage independent work and positive peer interactions.
• Record progress with the class teacher and SENCO.
