Igne Group Limited is seeking a motivated Graduate to join our Specialist Drilling team in Daventry. Start your career as a Graduate Logging Engineer, supporting borehole geophysics data delivery across the UK.

Work with an experienced team to gain hands-on experience in wireline logging, data acquisition and site investigations. You will develop technical knowledge while working outdoors, travelling to remote sites, and completing full training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with good IT skills (MS Office).
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines in live data environments.
• High attention to detail in field data collection and reporting.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours in outdoor field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate wireline logging equipment safely from the logging vehicle.
• Monitor real-time data acquisition for accuracy and quality.
• Perform equipment checks, calibration and basic on-site troubleshooting.
• Maintain field logs, job reports and data records.
• Collaborate with engineers, drillers and site supervisors to meet project objectives.
• Follow HSE procedures and company policies.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, mobilisation and demobilisation.
• Travel to remote sites and work flexible hours as required.
• Support senior management with additional tasks.

Igne is seeking a motivated Graduate to join our Specialist Drilling team based in Daventry. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career as a Graduate Logging Engineer in a specialist technical role, supporting the delivery of borehole geophysics data on a wide range of projects across the UK.
Working alongside an experienced team, you will gain hands‑on experience in wireline logging operations, geophysical data acquisition and site investigations. Developing the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to build a successful career within the geotechnical and drilling industry. This is a primarily field‑based role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and travelling. Full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of wireline logging equipment safely and efficiently from our specialist logging vehicle.
• Monitor real‑time data acquisition to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Carry out equipment checks, calibrations and basic troubleshooting on site.
• Maintain accurate field logs, job reports, and data records.

• Follow all company HSE procedures, site safety plans, and IGNE policies.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, cleaning, mobilisation, and demobilisation.
• Travel to remote sites and work flexible or extended hours as required.

Person Specification

• Bachelor or Masters’ degree in a related subject (Geotechnical Engineering, Geology and Environmental Science or related discipline)
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail in a live data environment
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and site conditions
• Willingness to travel and work irregular or extended hours
• Full UK Driving License
