Job summary

Igne Group Limited, a synergetic amalgamation of six companies, offers pre- and post-construction services with 350+ years of combined experience. We seek a geotechnical report engineer to produce high-quality factual and interpretative reports, review investigation data, manage project data, and support tenders.

The role requires a degree in geotechnical/geological/engineering and proven GIR experience, with strong knowledge of soil mechanics and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree in geotechnical, geological or engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in Ground Investigation producing GIRs, and high-quality factual reports.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques, soil mechanics, geology and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
  • Review and interpret site investigation data, logs, laboratory results and monitoring records.
  • Manage project data and develop factual logs and preliminary ground models.
  • Ensure QA processes are followed to maintain accuracy of deliverables.
  • Coordinate laboratory testing programmes and support borehole design as needed.
  • Provide technical support for tenders including scope, cost estimates and submissions.

Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
  • Review and interpret site investigation data, including logs, laboratory results, and monitoring records.
  • Manage project data and develop factual logs and preliminary ground models.
  • Ensure quality assurance processes are followed, maintaining the accuracy and reliability of project deliverables.
  • Coordinate laboratory testing programmes and support borehole design where required.
  • Provide technical support for tenders, including scope development, cost estimates, and technical submissions.
What We're Looking For:
  • Degree qualified in a relevant geotechnical, geological, or engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience within the Ground Investigation industry, producing high-quality factual reports and GIRs.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical investigation techniques, soil mechanics, geology, and relevant industry standards.
  • Knowledge of ICC Ground Investigation contracts, NEC3/NEC4, and CDM 2015 Regulations.
  • Excellent technical report-writing, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strong client relationships.
